How to Start Service

Residential Services 

New Service: To establish a new service with the City Of Niceville in your name at an address within our service area, and do not have an active account with us, please fill out and sign the Residential Water Service Application . Return this form with a copy of a valid photo identification and a copy of a lease ( if renting) and the new account representative will be in contact with you shortly. Charged at the time of new application is an $80 deposit ( refunded at account closure) and a non-refundable $35 processing fee. 

Transfer: If you currently have an active account open with the City of Niceville and will be moving from your current service location to a different address within our service area, your existing deposit can be transferred to the new service location. To assist with your move, the City of Niceville will provide service simultaneously at both locations for up to two weeks. Please fill out and sign the Residential Water Service Application  and be sure to also fill out the "Transferring from" section. Return this form with a copy of a valid photo identification and a copy of a lease ( if renting) and a new account representative will be in contact with you shortly. Charged at time of transfer is a $35 non-refundable transfer fee.

Landlord Temporary Cleaning Water: To assist landlords, the City of Niceville will provide water at an address in our service area for the purpose of light cleaning in between tenants. Two weeks shall be permitted in between full services/tenants. If you will need longer than two weeks then full service will need to be established. These two weeks may be used all at once or one week at a time up to the two week period. Water usage is not to exceed 1,500 gallons per week. Amounts over this will be billed at an additional charge after the clean has ended. This fee is only for water and does not include garbage services, pool fills, lawn watering, and or pressure washing, etc. Please fill out and sign our Temporary Water Service Landlord/Cleaning Application  below and be sure to also fill out the “Temporary Clean” section, return this form and the new account representative will be in contact with you shortly. Charged at the time of temporary cleaning water application is $15 for one week or $30 for two weeks.

Commercial Services

New Service: To establish a new service with the City Of Niceville in your Business Name at an address within our service area and do not currently have an active account open with us, please first contact the Building Inspection Department at 850-279-6436 ext. 1215 in reference to a Business License with the City of Niceville. After approval from the Building Inspection Department, your utility services may be started. Please fill out and sign the Business Water Service Application (PDF) , return with a copy of a valid photo identification of the responsible party and a copy of a lease (If renting) and the new account representative will be in contact with you shortly. Charged at the time of application with the City of Niceville for commercial service is a processing fee of $35 (non-refundable) and a deposit of three times the estimated bill as determined based on sanitation requirements (refunded at account closure), before or after completion of application please call the City of Niceville at 850-279-6436 ext. 1100 to discuss your sanitation requirements for deposit cost totals.
