Fire Inspectors prevent fire through fire inspections and fire code enforcement activities. Emphasis is placed on education during the code enforcement process to ensure that the owner or manager is aware of the necessity for fire prevention measures. Additionally, enforcement of the fire code enables the identification of unsafe properties, such as open and vacant structures, which pose a danger to the community and firefighters.
