THE SPRAY PARK CLOSED FOR THE SEASON ON SEPTEMBER 30TH, 2025. IT WILL REOPEN ON MAY 1ST, 2026.
Welcome to the Niceville Children's Park
Located across the street from Ruckel Middle School in Niceville’s Lannie L. Corbin Municipal Complex, our park is a place where fun and community come together. We take great pride in keeping the park clean, safe, and enjoyable for families. Courteous park attendants are on duty to answer your questions, address any concerns, and assist you during your visit. Together, we strive to make the park a joyful space where children can play and explore.
Safety First
Children must always be accompanied by an adult while visiting the Children’s Park. The Park Rules are designed to keep everyone safe and to ensure a positive, enjoyable experience for all visitors.
Amenities
Paved walkways make it easy to explore every part of the Children's Park. Relax at an umbrella-shaded table on sunny afternoons. Our gazebos and cabanas are ideal for hosting Birthday Parties. You'll find convenient vending machines, and restroom facilities with changing tables are also available within the park.
Some of the most popular attractions in the park include slides, rock-climbing walls, sandboxes and a bubble machine.
The Spray Park
The summer of 2006 brought the grand opening of the Spray Park at the Niceville Children's Park, which quickly became one of the most popular attractions in our community.
Seasonal Hours
The Spray Park is open May 1 through September 30. Hours of operation are 9:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday through Saturday and 12:00 pm - 6:00 pm on Sunday.
Spray Park Features
The Spray Park has two palm trees that spray water from the leaves. Mushroom mazes spray water all around, making a tent for the children to hide under while watching others play. Children have a great time cooling off during the hot days and warm evenings, and comfortable tables, chairs, and umbrellas are available for the adults to relax and enjoy watching the children play.
Park Closures
The City of Niceville will close the Children's Park whenever the safety of park visitors is in question. The park attendant may close the park at their discretion due to weather conditions. For example, the park will close when:
- Excessive heat or cold
- Rainfall (It takes approximately two hours for the park to dry sufficiently and reopen afterward)
- Thunder & lightning
Effective August 11, 2025, the Children's Park will be closed until Noon on alternating Mondays for maintenance.
